    Hi,
I haven't had any problems with things not turning up, but I have recently had several parcels that had been sent 'recorded delivery' just posted through the door. These were all ebay purchases from private sellers. It did occur to me that an unscrupulous buyer could claim that an item had never arrived, claim a refund & keep the goods, As a signature was never asked, for the post office couldn't prove they were delivered - the seller would then have the hassle of claiming their money back from Royal Mail.

Recorded is the biggest con going, it seems in some areas it is never signed for and never updates on line to delivered either.

That's why I no longer bother with it, I trsut my buyers rather more than I trust RM and I also save myself 75p a packet.
