Asda's rubbish customer service

Well you can either email Asda, or ring their head office number until you speak with someone.
I wouldn't stop going to the store because of someone else's bad day, and i certainly would not have emptied my trolley, i would have walked off and left it.
I think perhaps this may be one of those life situations where you should just let it go, because you are not going to get any sort of closure either way.
Just don't visit the pizza counter again, simple.0 -
you went in and someone did you a favour. Then on your next visit they hear you are going to get them in trouble so they ask you not to. Rubbish they shouted at you. Then your story becomes utter rub-gobledegook. Now you want an incentive to go back to the shop ? What £20 ? £40 ?
people seem to be saying that asda is a lot cheaper than other places so that is an incentive.
Companies are no longer so free with giving things away because someone was spoken to by a member of staff because the vast majority of people take stupid little things and blow them up out of all proportion just to get something for free.
Your title says the customer service was bad, not originally because you got some extra toppings. God how crap was that!!!!!!Nice to save.0 -
Can't understand why the OP didn't shout back - that would have brought someone running. Probably security..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I think the OP might have visited a store that has £1 deposit trolleys,
Possibly, I suppose that could be it. I think if I were that mortally offended and that desperate to leave I would have simply given up the pound coin myself. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
We had a bad experience with a member of Asda's staff in Tunstall we complained & on the next visit our car had been keyed - none of their cctv recorded anything & HQ replied to my complaint but we still get hassle when we go their OK it is only looks from this one sad person but Im always wondering what I'll come back to my communication to Asda now seems to be ignored, like you are only given one response & if you still are't happy who cares - so yes shop elsewhere if you can would be my reply.
If there has been any positive to my story it has been discovering Aldi we do save money on the weekly shop - which has beens more than enough to pay for the paint pen I used to touch in my cars paintwork.
So if youre thinking about writing a letter to Asda save yourself a stamp & your time they will either lose it or they will ignore you.Theres only two rules to remember1) Im always right2) See rule 10 -
Think maybe the OP is being euphemistic and 'make a suggestion' was probably strong complaint and 'chat' was angry exchange etc? Think things were probably more heated from the start than the tone of the post implies. Staff member shouting at customer, though, is straightforward get on high horse and strongly complain cos you know you're in the right job."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Can I just say that it seems the girl on the Pizza counter got "freaked out" because she was doing you a favour in giving you the extra toppings. They aren't supposed to do this, and from what I know, one topping is one "scoop" and anymore than that is a sackable offence. The girl/woman obviously wanted to make your day in giving you some extras and thought nothing of it and then obviously got a little worried when you went in wanting to talk to someone about her being so kind. That's understandable.0

OP - what's happened since?0

The problem I think is this customer was humiliated by a member of staff who for whatever reason caused a fuss over something that seems very trivial - no wonder you feel uncomfortable returning to the store, is there not enough hassle in life without getting a load when you decide to go & spend your hard earned cash on groceries?
After reading of this & various other peoples experiences combined with my own encounter with one of their sadder members of staff, I think there are other supermarkets who deserve your custom far more than this one & some actually do care about their customers imho Asda simply couldn't care less.Theres only two rules to remember1) Im always right2) See rule 10 -
I can see why you're upset, I'd be as well. I wouldn't be scared though. The one thing I'd really like to know is why you stayed in (on your wedding anniversary) to wait for a phone call from ASDA? Don't you have a mobile? Maybe you should call ASDA's head office...0
