Has anyone had success with cashback with Beepy mobiles

They send you with the phone redemption certicates with a number on and each claim you use that number and fill out a seperate claim form which they e-mail to you and you send off EASY?????.

The paper work(Redemption certicates) they sent with the phone states i should claim 4 x £60 cash backs over 12 months even though i'm on a 18 months contract.

The cashback claim forms that they e-mailed are for a 18month contact for 5x£48

It states on the Redemption certicate " CLAIMS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IF ACCOMPANIED BY THE APPRORIATE CASH BACK VOUCHER"

When making The first claim
Redemption Cert = fisrt 5 Airtime bills within 60 days
18mth claim voucher = first 4 Airtime bills within 21 days
12mth claim voucher = first 6 Airtime bills within 21 days

Which is correct and what claim form do you use

thanks nyck

  • No matter what anyone tells you on here you won't have a leg to stand on unless it comes (in writing) from them. Why use this company when you don't know exactly how it works beforehand? The t&c to follow are the ones on the website at the point of sale. Cpw got into the habit of reinventing them for existing customers as they went along, so it's essential to have it all in writing at that point regardless of what else may follow. The cashback won't be worth zip if the company isn't around to collect. Personally, I wouldn't consider any cashback deal with this company since the (sparse) feedback isn't good and their website rather unconvincing. You still have the option to cancel if you're not 100% certain AND understand the risks.

Sounds like they have messed up the information they supplied with the phone.
Email them / phone them but try to get email confirmation of exactly what they want. If you are on 18 month contract - it would likely be

"18mth claim voucher = first 4 Airtime bills within 21 days"
"The cashback claim forms that they e-mailed are for a 18month contact for 5x£48"

The 4x60 would likely to be for 12 month contracts.

    Get it confirmed via email.

    Hi,
It’s not necessary, as it is our error.

    Regards
    Beepy
  • Hi, i'm in a similar situation - could you tell me did you send your claim in after the 4th or 5th bill?

The PDF says 4th bill the redemption certificates say 5th bill

    thanks
  • Always follow the t&c on the website on at the point of sale. Cpw companies developed a reputation for sending out contradictory and incorrect claim instructions and since Beepy seems to be a very dubious outfit it's to be anticipated that you would have problems. Should it become necessary to sue them (IF they are still around by then!) you can enforce the original t&c. If you didn't both understand them and print them out at the time you have opened yourself up to innumerable potential problems with dealers like these (I wouldn't use them even though I would have covered myself in the ways I have described). I suggest you check out the t&c on the website and examine what they say (AND print them off now in the hope they haven't been altered since you ordered).

I'm just going to send it off in the next few days,i'm doing it after the 4th Airtime bill which was the 20th jan.
As i said previously they only sent me 4 redemption certificates for a 12 month contract not the 5 required for a 18 month contract .But i've kept the E-mails saying its thier fault and i dont need the certificates.

I've just got to comfirm there address on the reclaim form its
    Redemption Department at
    Beepy Mobiles
    PO Box 7314
    Daventry
    NN11 1BY

on the website its (updated 6/1/2010)
