Have fun Sal.
In the absence of having any real life Friday night shenanigans to look forward to (I did have two fairly tempting offers but am full of a cold and spotty as hell, so I have said maybe another time...sighh), I will be here for online shenanigans instead!
Wish I could have last Friday night all over again....."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
No fun for me either...10 mile run, followed by dinner and cleaning before OH arrives at 11pm then sleeping so we can make the 6am get up tomorrow :eek:0

They are coming back to look at carpet on Tuesday. Bang goes another day! This making time idea just isn't working!
Me too Bookie, although i am swapping and have been roped in for Brownie duty..why do i do these thingsBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I am just going to die quietly in a corner of the settee......mucho tired now...just had a row with a woman in the supermarket, cos she parked ina a parent and child space.....she had no child (she was ugly too!)
Argument was a bit one sided cos she wouldn't join in....so I left her a note verbally abusing her mental capacity on her windscreen.

I hope you don't mind me posting this message but I was quite concerned about you after reading yesterdays Chat Thread.
I have kept up to date with your problems and worries and understand the difficulty you have been through and are still going through and I know it's none of my business, so please forgive me for posting if you think I am out of order.
Somebody mentioned Bankruptcy yesterday and I understand (please correct me if I am wrong) that you have a large secured loan on your home (and mortgage), you didn't seem to like the idea of going BK (quite understandably) but I felt I had to post, maybe just to warn you, though hopefully not frighten you.
I understand you are getting some HB to help with the mortgage? but with regards the secured loan, if no arrangements are made and firmly in place, the loan company have the right to demand your home is sold, this would mean that firstly your mortgage is paid off and then the loan. But the problem is that if your home doesn't sell for its full market value (and this could happen, especially if it went to auction) then that will leave an amount owing for which you would still be liable, with no home etc
If you made yourself BK (and I honestly do understand why you would not want to) then all outstanding debts, mortgage, secured loan etc etc would be wiped out and as you have little income you would not be expected to pay an Income Payments Order if there was any debt left after the sale and payment to the mortgage company and secured loan company. You woould, as they say, have a clean slate and most BK's are discharged after 1 year.
I know its a lot to take on board and very upsetting, and I apologise if I have upset you but I am just trying to help. Please, if you can find the courage, post on the BK board and the lovely people on there will be of a great help and support.
BK used to have some stigma attached to it but I think nowadays its becoming the norm, you have NOTHING to be ashamed for and there are people that just run up debts knowing they can make themselves BK, totaly unlike yourself and posters on the BK board, now they have something to be ashamed of and give BK a bad name. It's not a BAD thing to do and does not make you any less of a decent, warm, lovely person, just sometime needs must and I would hate to see you lose everything. Keep your dignaty intact and do something before it is taken out of your hands. You deserve more. It's not easy, I am not going to say that but please, seek some advice before it's too late.
I am so sorry if you think I am sticking my nose in where its not wanted, I just wanted to try and help, if only a little bit and reassure you that you have nothing to be ashamed for, nothing at all and I would be so proud to call you my Mum, your DD's and Grandson must be so proud of you as you are of them.
take care xxxx
Not sure about this. I didn't think you could go BR if you had property. Besides, if I do and have to sell the house everything would be paid off so I might just as well sell up without BR.
Not bothered about the stigma - it can't get much worse. I haven't even got eonough money to take a bottle of wine this weekend so I will now have a reputation as a scrounger. I know it is silly in the grand scheme of things but that is the way I am.
You are all lovely people on here and maybe I should just bow out. I must really be getting on your nerves.
Just out of curiosity Quirkylass - you say you are an old poster. Presumably you have changed your name for some reason?
Take care all - you can have some peace from me now. :rotfl:0 -
Bookie, would the equity in your property pay off the debt? All of it?
And if you then rented somewhere, would you get housing benefit towards the cost of the rent?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

OI OI OI OI, COME BACK HERE MISSUS.....
First things first, noone is fed up of hearing your troubles, lord knows you've listened to most of ours from time to time and they are pretty petty and nonsensical compared to the big issues.. it's all about give n take.
You give so much to people and don't even realise it missus....
and then when you yourself are mentally exhausted, you go and give some more, whether it be time/effort/support/leadership whatever...
secondly - in light of point directly above, who on earth would grudge you a bottle of wine??? seriously?!?!
Please do not slope off as we are absolutely here for you... even though it mean seem like we're too busy talking about blokes and other frivalous stuff...
If there is one thing that will p1ss us off (scuse my language) it is worrying about one of our own.... so do not put us all through that.... at least if you are posting, then we know you are safe and sane and keeping going....
Thirdly - as much as some of what Quirky lass said was maybe good advice. it is strange from a new poster, and i feel merits some explanation, well done you for asking....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
I'm not talking about you going bankrupt - I meant if you put your house on the market and sold it yourself.
But okay, I'll leave it..."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
