im having exactly the same problem groovychick! there doesnt seem to be any £1 rooms around birmingham! i checked nearly every date too! still £25 isnt bad for the ones that are coming up but would rather pay a £1!

managed after several attempts to book 2 doubles as cant get family rooms on rate however im now unable to go and the number doesnt put me thru and they not answering email.not bothered about being charged few quid but worried they may take larger sum as theyv my visa details and someone said when they turned up they said quid was a deposit!0

Urban myth I fear. I stayed the last two nights at washington on the £1 deal and that was it! Reception asked for proof of identidy and I asked if I could pay the £2 in cash...the receptionist said they preferred this.

I decided not to go because it would have cost me a fortune just to get there so I was put off. Just out of interest, the receptionist on my last visit mentioned that they did not even bother collecting the £1 for a no-show as the card fee was more than this.
