Says 'excluding local tax where applicable'. Does anyone know of any extra charges such as this? Are we going to be surprised with further costs added to the bill?

No. I highly doubt it, no mention of anything at all like that on the invoice, just £1 a night

Just booked for me & OH for a weekend in January Am flexing the credit card in anticipation of some great shopping! (well we saved money on the room!) Thanks OP for bringing this to our attention!

Someone on HUKD said they had phoned one of the hotels and it is £7.95 for breakfast, hth.
