Im quite interested on this item. but i find the postage quite over priced as the item is only as heavy as a sock anyway. what is your opinion on the postage price for this item.

All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

If you think the overall price is too high, then don't bid.
Sorry to be blunt, but there is little you can do about it. Some people use postage costs to cover ebay/paypal/petrol fees in addition to postage, and packing.0 -
Its pretty fair, just remember the postal cost include shipping, packaging, sellers time, sellers petrol to the PO, etc etc.
In the end if you don't like the postal cost, don't bid.My broad mind and narrow waist are slowly swapping places!!0 -
In addition he is also asking for an extra 3% to cover Paypal fees !0

AND he can't spell .......0

I always include the postage in the final amount I am willing to pay0
-
I would avoid this idiot as charging £5 is a bit excessive for postage then they have the cheek to ask for 3% extra to cover fees if paying by paypal which is not allowed on ebay as sellers are to pay their own fees and not the buyers0
-
I wouldn't bid on this even if I really really really wanted them. He must be getting quite excited by all the counters !0

When I bid on an item I always check the postage costs before hand - several times the postage is overcharged but if the total I pay altogether is less than I would have paid in a shop I am quite happy to pay it.
I think the main thing with ebay is you should check the postage before hand and you will have a good idea whether the postage costs are overstated - if you dont like the costs dont bid!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -

Yes, how dare he make sure he's covered his costs so it's worth his while selling on ebay. When will sellers realise it's their job to provide buyers with items at a fraction of the high street price and stop thinking of themselves all the time:rolleyes:
Just because ebay doesn't allow sellers to charge paypal fees does that mean it's right?0 -
People seem very upset on here when sellers on ebay over charge for postage but many online shops over charge as well. There have been many times I have gone to order things for my computer and disocvered that to post to Northern Ireland they are going to charge an addition £12 to £15 when they state on their website that they post via royal mail which does not charge any additional amount to post to Northern Ireland - needless to say I did not buy from them but I dont see a problem with sellers on ebay charging extra postage so they have to pay less on their fees.
I do on ebay and I charge very little for my postage, usually just enough to cover the cost of P&P but I recently bought a belt off someone who was charging £0.01 for the belt and £8.99 postage. I don't have problem doing this, I still pay £9 and get what I want and the seller is happy becuase he makes more money.0
