Just had a letter from them about a debt we do not owe from a company we have never used.

Very helpful thread. Similar pattern here of rude incomprehensible JBDR staff requesting personal details while refusing to give any information, usual phone numbers 01413546630, 01413530088, 08002889838. Couldn’t first work out what this was about. They call themselves a ‘financial company’ and when asked so are ‘not a scam because they tell me so’! Turns out about Southern Electric utilities for an address I left over 3 years ago. At the time all bills settled, S.E. notified of new address and continued with them as a supplier, so they should be embarrassed in selling on wrong information to these types of companies. Forwarded final statements, proof I wasn’t living there at the time concerned to [EMAIL="j.mcdonald@jbdr.co.uk"]j.mcdonald@jbdr.co.uk[/EMAIL] (address didn’t seem to be online, so thought I’d contribute that...) Got a text saying that a ‘generous settlement was now available’ pretty cheeky indeed, but guess it is too much to expect an apology. Ignoring their calls now.
