Hi CSA
Thanks for mentioning me in the same breath as Hypno, but she is the Queen of DFW - I merely follow in her footsteps
You've talked about what you are doing to increase your income, but are you making the same effort to reduce your outgoings?
The OS board is fantastic and provides lots of ideas on reducing grocery bills amongst others.
I can also recommend Payment a Day thread - it's a very friendly bunch and really helps keep you focused.
I presume you are taking Packed Lunches and have knocked things like take away coffees and magazines on the head?
Sorry if you already have done these things - sounds like you are focused, so hope you are debt free before that date
Good Luck!0 -
Hi macgirl, thank you for replying! Yea, I never even take my wallet out of the house unless I'm going to the supermarket! I do OS as much as poss but I haven't looked into PAD yet. Will get onto it.
Met my mum today and we had a latte, (she bought) it was like manna from heaven.
This week is a better MS week as I'm "on loan" for a day to a base nearer home so less petrol money (I still get a contribution for driving to my regular base so that will help).
Will also have a NS weekend as am working away and can claim back expenses. Petrol is my biggest expense, I spend about £200 a month on this and it's increasing in Jan as I go on loan again for six months but a bit further away this time.0 -
Not feeling too well this morning but just heading off to work. One of my ebay items is selling and one has a watcher so fingers crossed. OH laughs at me getting excite by selling something for £5, he won't be laughing when we can afford it for him to retire!!
*sigh* back to the grindstone0 -
s myself, it's so demoralising.0

I read some of the mystery shopping thread but I think my tax is quite complicated now (I'm not very good with numbers) and don't want to add to things. I also never seem to have any time! I'm out of the house for 12 hours a day and weekends are all taken up with my other dream (other to DFW).

Well, two of my ebay items are selling well and two have watchers. I think I can stretch my petrol til next Tue so that's promising!
Waiting for a paypal transfer to make it's way into my current account so I can chip some of that debt off.0 -
Hi CSA, I saw you posted on my thread, good luck with the clearing. Glad to see your eBay items are making progress, that's certainly something I need to do once I've had a good de-clutter!0

It's so nice to see something you would chuck being sold, even if it's 99p, as long as you cover your postage! Well worth it. I have nothing left to sell though.
Just had a store cupboard supper. OH didn't notice the lentils in his mince, haha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa0 -
If you've got any cds/dbds you no longer listen to or watch try flogging them on music magpie - works like Green Met in that you put in the bar code, but they buy them straight off youI do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0

Hi there coldstreamalways,
Is Green Metropolis easy to use? We have loads of books that we have read and can pass on; I've been taking them to my local Swapshop alongside all other things, but think i may need to sell a few to raise some much needed cash for the debts.
Oooh lentils in mince! Ive never thought of that- would bulk it out a bit and be good for us! think i will try that tomorrow night
