Hello
No, but a week later Virgin Holidays seemed very keen to respond to the issues, not only did they refund my £500 holiday deposit but they also compensated me £150 for my trouble.

Probably passed your details on to the police too for harassment?
I would suggest sending letters to staff members home address is completely unacceptable.0 -
Littlewoods actually employ quite a lot of at home staff, so the reasoning could be that you got one of those and they were actually unable to transfer you to a manager. Used to be like this when i worked for sky from home.0

That's nice isn't it, oviously a complete idiot on the other end of the line, total dimwit unworthy of life itself. They must be lying they are too thick and stupid to tell the truth. It is ridiculous the superior attitude that some people have on here.
Just as an example, my girlfriend works for a major high street bank. Tonight she is doing some overtime on the phone (not her normal job but she is trained in it). At the moment the sum total of staff in that call centre consist of her and the security guard. You could not speak to the manager because there are none there.
By the way she has a law degree, do you have one. She must be a very inteligent monkey.Iva started Dec 2018.0 -

I think the "monkey/organ grinder" thing was just an expression.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -

But you miss the point. Monkey and Organ Grinder is an expression which is used to describe a particular relationship between the staff and the management. The example of your girlfriend is particularly apt. She has a law degree. She may actually be a monkey. Someone with no qualifications could be an organ grinder. The difference is how the company empower their staff. If your girlfriend answers my problem with her employer and she is able to accept that there is a problem and they have empowered her to take the decisions that solve my problem and she fixes it, then I go away happy that I have spoken with the organ grinder.
If she agrees there may be a problem, can't tell me what the fix is and says that she does not have the authority to fix it and tells me only a manager has the authority to fix the problem and then tells me all the managers are in meetings for the next 48 hours, then she is the monkey, even if she has more law degrees after her name than letters in it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. She is a very intelligent girl doing a monkeys job. I too have a law degree and have worked in a call centre environment doing exactly as I was told. At that time I was acting as a monkey!!!:cool:Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

Or a very thick lawyer. All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0
