I've just remembered. There's a youth hostel which is very close to the city centre. It will take about 15-20 mins on the bus.

Cardiff University has some summer accommodation (if you're thinking of enrolling for Uni - wink wink).

Look at booking in Bridgend or Pontypridd....both have train stations which go directly to Cardiff.

Best Western Heronston Hotel - do a google search :)

Try Penarth... 10 mins by train into cardiff.

Offhand, decent B and Bs include:

    Walton House Hotel
    Glendale Hotel (excellent restaurant)
    Rock House

You could Google and ring them?

Have you tried Newport its only 15mins on the train.. depending on your budget i have another idea. When Munster where playing over here the flat next to us was rented out for the weekend in Cardiff Bay. If you ring the letting agency they can contact the owner and see if he is willing to rent it out for the weekend i know there is a few spare flats where i live........ try ringing Keylet on 0845 0589844

    Hope you get sorted soon

Hi Carole. I'm glad you got it sorted. You must have been lucky enough to get a cancellation. The Ibis is right in the centre of town.

    Have a great time.
