I'm from near Cardiff. Why are you having trouble? There are lots of nice hotels. What did you need?

Look up Cathedral Road - within walking distance of the city centre and much cheaper than the central hotels.

There's a couple of Travel Lodge's in my area and the Park Inn. They are all within easy reach of the city and surrounding areas by car. They are also all near bus routes. The bus takes around 20-25 mins to get to town.

I travel by bus a lot around South Wales, so if you need any other information let me know.

  • Hi,

Don't know your budget but you can also try the Novotel and the IBis on https://www.accorhotels.com. The Novotel is £85, the Ibis (much more in the center, 600 meters from the central train station) is £60.

Prices are per room per night for 1 or 2 people (I think kids are accomodated for free at the Novotel).

Last minute discounts are available on the website.

    Hope that helps.

Try lastminute.com - they seem to have rooms in hotels that seem to be "full" when you go to them direct. I've had some good deals on v.nice hotels in Cardiff in the past here!

Good point. I hadn't thought of that.
