  • Because it's a thread about Chickens, not a thread about mistreatment of overseas workforces? :p

correction, it is a thread about a limited offer bargain chicken not the alleged mistreatment of said chickens, if you don't like it, don't buy it or take your complaint up with tesco, we aint interested princess!

If you are that concerned about the quality of life the chickens had then dont eat meat at all and if you are already a vegetarian then why comment on a cheap meat thread !

I am far from a Vegetablist, and believe a happy animal should be part of the food chain process.

It is the water and chemical filled crap served up as "cheap food" argument that I disagree with. Money saving is about far more than just the price IMHO :)
  • apparently it is more energy intensive to provide free range products, therefore increasing CO2 emissions. So at least those that are happy to buy these products are helping the environment! Also the UK labeling isn't known for its trustworthiness and free range doesn't mean they are all wondering around happy as larry.
  • I dread what will follow when someone posts a special offer on chicken :(

And the end of the day people have the right to choose what they buy and what they put in their body, what they feed their families and what they don't. Some people may prefer quality, some people may be just trying to make ends meet to feed their family - neither is right or wrong, it just is.

Thanks to OP, me and my boyf (being on a tight budget because we are both students) will be taking advantage of this offer if it is still on when we next go to Tesco.
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*

I don't think most of the posters would take kindly to being described as lice ridden !!

People comment because these are **discussion** threads and there's irony by the bucketload in this one
I thought discussion threads were in "discussion time", not the general boards for finding bargains.

Can you imagine what it would be like if someone posted about a special offer on baby milk!
