Bookie....no one but no one would be ashamed of you...:grouphug: I wish I could give you a real hug....
You have done NOTHING to be ashamed of....except work bloody hard all your life........
I have no other words to say really except please take care, stop beating yourself up and give those you love a big hug. They love you and are not ashamed of you.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

SIL just been. Still not finished the painting and the carpet comes tomorrow. I worked myself into the ground on tues up there.
Not sure if I have the strength to pick life up and start again. I'm 55 next week and it all seems so wrong.
Anyway - got to go out into the wilds now. Thanks for being there and sorry to bring you down yet again.0 -
I have got to go out soon - to Slimming World, even though I haven't been on the diet and have put on - but really don't want to go out. I have been at home all day and I am nice and toasty!
I started SW last November and I think I am now back to the weight I started at this November! I lost some for my daughters' graduation but have put it all back on. DD2 is having real issues with her skin at the moment - all these hormones are playing havock with it and she's so greasy and spotty.....any advice would be welcomed.....we've tried a tea-tree face wash and then a wipe over with witch hazel afterwards but within an hour the grease is back.
There are loads of options on this - I had the worst skin EVER as a child and its pretty bad now...
Quinoderm is available from behind the counter at the chemists - great stuff but it does dye the pillows so watch for that!
Or there's topical antibiotics from the docs - start off with a months supply and then if it works you can get 3 months at a time
Or there's a few pills that work for skin as well - dianette being one but there are a few other...
Last resort is oral antibiotics - but you usually only get this if its really bad
Best advice - go with her to the docs and speak to them about it - if they dont reckon its bad enough for treatment then try the quinoderm for a little while (no prescription needed)0 -

Tenmah, i lost 4 1/2 stone - it took me about 2 yrs - and in i put it all back on in about 18mths-2 yrs!. i stopped going to SW for about 3 yrs and only recently started again. i feel you have to be in the right frame of mind to do it. Go to the class, get weighed, then see if you feel like - right, enough piddlearsing about, i'm gonna do it! or if you feel ' i don't feel like it's the right time' - then stop. Thanks Becky, I shall have a read up on the Quinoderm. She's only had 3 monthlys so far so I hope it might just settle over time but she's very aware that she's a lot spottier than her friends. Being 11 is hard work."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

Yep indeed - my started at 11 and hasnt gone away since, luckily I mange it now with contraceptives + topical antibiotics but quinoderm was great when I was younger as it really drys out the skin as well so stops make up slipping off (i rarely wear make up these so am less worried about being greasy!)0

Who on here has a child (probably boy) around 11-12 yrs? I have a lovely Boden Waterproof fleecey coat virtually new and want to give it a new home. Have tried selling with no joy so would rather someone make use of it than give it to a charity shop. How old is spud's son?I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway.
