using internet on pc connected to mobile phone

So fair enough with the T&C if this is stated etc etc, Can someone then explain to me why this software is then included on a 3 branded phone. Is this not slightly confusing? Its not like 3 dont know what's on the phones regarding software as they are slow enough to bring out firmwares for your phone when upgrades are available (sorry thats another problem for another thread) so they should know that this is on the phone.

Also wanted to add that the software included isn't just the trial version it is the premium version of the software that is included Which should cost 25 euro. all very confusing.

O2 don't allow it. I've asked, even though I have an unlimited data package. Tethering incurs extra charges.

It's on offer at 7 euro at the moment, and often discounted to 15. Nokia supplies it as standard on the N97 and will have bought it wholesale for probably quite a bit less than that.
