Itchy legs due to shaving or stubble?

Options
I used to think my itchy legs were down to shaving, but now I think they might be down to stubble & needing to shave:confused:

I got some mens aftershave balm for razor burns, but they are itchy tonight & I shaved them a few days ago, its stubble I have now.

  • Do you get ingrown hairs? They can be itchy, and regular exfoliation helps... also do you moisturise your legs? If you use a perfumed moisturiser that might be a bit irritating for your skin.

How would you know if you had ingrown hairs?:o Sorry if that sounds dumb:o
It just feels like normal prickly stubble to me.

Don't really exfoliate & need to moisturise more.
  • Lol I'm just looking at my legs to find one to describe to you! :D

I get a tiny red spot with a little rough bit on it, and if I scratch it then the hair comes out. Exfoliation kinda does the scratchy bit for you I guess! And also helps keep your skin softer

i get itchy after shaving.. so have nicked OH aftershave balm.. works a treat..

my legs are the itchy problem... balm is linked to what i use, better than any girl products i have tried so far, and doesn't stink of perfume either.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?
  • When I shave my legs, immediately after whilst still in the bath, i scrub them with one of those body scrunchie things. I find that stops the itching. Give that a go, then when you get out of the bath and your legs are still a bit damp, slather loads of rich moisturiser on. You should find that stops it
  • Could it be you just have dry skin?!?! My legs itch after every shower or bath and thats down to having very dry skin(took me years to work out why:rolleyes:) now I moisturise everyday and the problem has gone:) exfoliating helps too, you can get shower mitts from wilko's and £ shops, I use them in place of a sponge/body puff:)

No I don't get anything like that.

It seems to be mainly if I have any fine prickley stubble.

    But the skin is clear.

The balm made no difference to me.
