pixmania.uk is this false advertising

Hi mse can i pick your brains heres my story I Ordered a christmas present for my son,plz read the decription, when i read it tell me im getting a chair http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/2306936/art/playseats/slider-seat-hub-with-fou.html please tell me if im wrong.
So today while i was out at work item came,so when i got home to this small package and opened it and found this (sorry had to get pic of amazon.com) http://www.amazon.com/Playseats-80010-Seat-Slider-Kit/dp/B00124UKJY
so wheres my seat and metal base?rang pixmania spoke to a lady and she must looked at it on the web page and said there looks like there should be a seat,she then
put me on hold,came back on and said she will have to send a email to the director and they will e-mail me.
So im awaiting a reply but won't hold my breath as seeing the problem other people have had on here.Im sick to death of working and the sh*ts of the greedy goverment takening what they can,lieing and us good brits sit back and take it.Can u tell im having a good day

'pixmania' is actually an anagram of 'totally sh17 service and you should never, ever use them.'

Do a search on MSE forums and it's just one tale of woe after another.

They won't contact you, and they'll refuse to help....they are a waste of space.

They are so cr4p that they actually make ryanair's c/s look good.!!

Don't waste your breath...simply get a chargeback done on your credit card.

Definitely misrepresentation in my view. Write to them recorded delivery with 7 days to respond asking for a refund and then do a charge back and inform Trading Standards. Do the charge back because as BFG says, this company have a dreadful reputation for customer service.

But could it have been sent in 2 seperate packages and one has gone missing?
I ordered a home cinema a few years ago and the speakers were sent in one package while the dvd player was sent in another. It was all the one brand (Pioneer) and advertised as one unit on the website.
I built it up and it's been great for about 6 years now.
Was it delivered to you direct or did a neighbour accept delivery?
Was it left in an outhouse or other designated place if you weren't in?

It does look like the seat should have been included but thought I'd ask the above just incase.

Having looked at the two pictures I can't see how it can be anything other than misrepresentation - I would be extremely cheesed off if I had been expecting a seat with a metal base and received a couple of runners instead.

Don't take any crap from them, either you get the product in the picture or a full refund, and they should be collecting the incorrect goods at their own expense imho.

My son took delivery,i have checked DHL site and it states only one parcel.I've recieved an email for items to be sent back by Ups so will have to wait and see what gets delivered next,just hope i get the seat on next delivery.Will keep u informed

I agree im expection a seat so when they decide to sort it out it better be a seat.:)

My Dad used pixmania for his new TV, but he was pretty lucky as he had no problem with them, but this seems to be the exception.
