Are you saying that once you have got panels you are unable to change electricity suppliers - so they can charge you what ever they like?
What we do know is that if you wait around the FiT rate will go down, so "a shade greener" will be less keen to give you the panels?
Hi John
Yes many in the industry are telling potential customers to hold off on the 'FREE' incentive.
There are postings on other sites regarding A Shade Greener and when invited to join a live debate they declined (Sarah herself declined).
It appears that if you contact the organisation directly, it can take almost 4 hours to get a reply.

Noncom - of course you're not wanting to stir up trouble, why would you do that?
I do know Sarah, she is a personal friend. But I am not representing the company. I am NOT Sarah - whose name is actually Sarah DYSON not Davies and my L does not stand for Lucy.
The MSE people told her she could open up a username of her own and keep on posting but she refused as she would rather be open and represent the company rather than slink around under the guise of another username. I've been following this thread for ages along with many of Sarah's friends and of course I know a bit about the business, I actually have some ASG panels installed!!
I haven't posted before as I personally thoroughly dislike forums - in my view there are too many cyber bullies and people who feel they can be as rude as possible because they have the protection of a username.
I posted initially to explain about what had happened to Sarah - I'm really not interested in chatting any further on this thread and will only post on here if there is something that I read that I know to be entirely wrong. Sarah will also post if there is something VERY wrong, through the MSE companies email - they have told her she can do that and they will post for her.

Point taken about forums but Sarah was also invited to join a live debate which she appeared to decline.

It might be the cynic in me but when a new poster comes on with negative comments I get somewhat suspicious of their motives. Would you care to provide evidence where "many in the industry are telling potential customers to hold off on the 'FREE' incentive. I'm withdrawing from this thread entirely, I don't know how Sarah put up with it for as long as she did, she had loads of emails from the public saying the same. I've told Sarah to report abuse, Jason - I think you have a subtle agenda and I think you should be stopped.
Davies
Abuse? How have you been offended by any of my postings?
What could my agenda be apart from trying to get all the facts about the services your offering and wanting to look after my interests.
Can I maybe suggest that it is indeed you who has a subtle agenda.

You and Yours, Radio 4 at 12 tomorrow the 29/7/10. They are doing a report giving pros and cons of solar power companies offering to put free panels on the roof."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Does anyone know if A Shade Greener are still offering the panels and how long from applying online to hearing back from the company?
Thanks0 -

Hi Folks
In "The Times" yesterday there was a piece about another company that is apparently offereing free solar pv systems - just like ASG.
Company's name is ISIS SOLAR but the article didn't mention where abouts in the country they are/will be operating.
The Mail Online website has an article on this today, but again no location details.
Here's a link: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1298244/Free-solar-panels-cheaper-offered-exchange-use-roof-energy-firm.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
Given the company name, would it be reasonable to assume the Oxford area?
Hope this helps
