    Thanks Celerity,
I must have missed it..will have another look.
Nope, have retraced from post 20 -40 and can't see anything remotely like an answer to this question.
Is it definitely on this thread? I know that there are a number of others running at present.

Are you sure you are looking at the correct thread? The one Celerity linked to only has 24 posts!!

It's not "this thread" meaning the one you're reading now - in my original post I made the words "this thread" clickable. So you need to find my original post and then click that link ;)

Firstly, Thanks to all those that posted on this.
Unfortunately I took 'this thread' too literally and having given myself a good self-flagellation, have now actually read what celerity meant me too !
It makes for some interesting reading, but no definitive answer, so I think it'll be a 'suck it and see exercise' ( If the system actually generates close to the 3Kwh to power the immersion in the first place)

Energy Savings Trust now admits that the average saving with a rent-a-roof scheme is only £70. I e-mailed the estate agent advertising the Barnsley house and told them they were in breach of the Property Misdescriptions Act and - Hey Presto - they have removed the £400 pa claim from their RightMove ad. It now just says, "the property benefits from newly installed solar roof panels". One small step for a man etc ....

    Hi

As a champion of fighting consumer misinformation you should now be officially allowed to wear your brightly coloured underpants on the outside ... should you wish to.

In the days of the HIP I took some delight in checking the selling hip for heat pumps and emailing the estate agents to tell them they were making bogus claims (both for and against heat pumps (!) in other words they had not a clue what they were talking about).

Here we have another example-will the potential buyer know if solar thermal or solar or both is being sold with the house?
