The website in question: https://www.premiumwhiteultra.com/ - A TOTAL SCAM.

I am currently talking to someone on live chat after learning they charged me an extra $9.95 for international shipping for a trial product. I proceeded to cancelling my order but have now been told:

"You have been removed from the auto ship program and you will not be receiving any further shipments. As per the Terms and Conditions you agreed to before placing your order, your card will be charged the discounted rate of $87.62 for the first shipment of PremiumWhite Teeth Whitening after the completion of the trial period."

I don't know what to do. They say "We have charged you $11.90 on Nov 11, 2009 for shipping and handling and you will be charged $87.62 Nov 29, 2009 for the cost of the product that we have sent you."

It makes no sense, why would I order a trial product and then have to pay for the actual product too? I say I want everything cancelled and they say:

"As soon as the confirm button is clicked, your order is automatically sent to our shipping department. Unfortunately we are not able to stop the So your shipment has already been processed and you will receive it within few business days."

But they wouldn't send out the trial and real product at the same time?

Advice would be great..

They also state on their website:
"And remember, there's no obligation - you can cancel your membership at any time by calling 866-528-6214. No obligation, CANCEL ANYTIME!"
How do I call this number from the UK?

Isn`t there a 7 day cooling off period for long distance transactions/contracts? If paid by card complain to your company? Any other ideas?

Or could contact trading standards for false advertising but a long shot at getting your money back.

Do be careful with websites you don`t know about especially if it asks for card details.

Ok ill step up on this one as im sick of dealing with these trial payments. Im actually amazed the british public have signed up on mass to these guys.

First off what you can do within Visa/ Mastercard regualtions.

    From what you have posted.

You have signed up to trial.
You have not cancelled within the trial period
Because you have not cancelled in this period you are in effect agreeing to accepting the full charge for the trial product not just the P+P you paid for initially.

Write to your card company advising them the date you have cancelled this subscription so that if the merchant try and debit your account after X date they can chargeback these transactions.

Im afraid from your post your stuck. You paid for trial recieved trial product and would appear not to have gone thru the terms of which the trial is based upon.

You aint going to get any more help from your card issuer being the regualtions are all the same to work against. Bear in mind Visa and mastercard regulations are seperate from your own consumer rights ( distance selling regulations etc etc so I guess your free to pursue these guys via any avenue you feel necessary)>

Trading standards are already looking into these companies- They aint in UK so not sure how far they will get but at the end of the day you cant stop someone signing up to a trial without reading the terms which are clearly visable:(

Just wondering did the teeth whitening crap work?

There are already several threads on this I believe, your certainly not the first to be scammed by them, more importantly you are usually signed up to THREE of these deals not just the one, you need to contact them again and make sure you cancel any and ALL subscriptions.

Check out this thread for a start there is some useful info and links on there for you, be sure to contact them again and make sure they cancel ALL subscriptions or you may have similar payments coming out in the coming weeks from other companies.

Not the same name but may well be linked, in any event it certainly looks like the same scam from your op.

I'm not sure if I've been unclear but I ordered the trial less than an hour ago. Thus I obviously have not received anything. And it states at the top of their website:
"And remember, there's no obligation - you can cancel your membership at any time by calling 866-528-6214. No obligation, CANCEL ANYTIME!"
