Hi i wondering if i can get some helpful advice regarding vodaphone. i signed upto a 12month contract which ended in october. i wasnt going to stay with vodaphone as I normally always take out cash back deals which ive never had any problems with. Went through to vodaphone retentions and spoke to a guy(got his name and email) and he offered a good deal and said when you add it all up by going with cashback i'm only saving about £4 and then you have to chase the cashback up with the companies. I was on £40.00 tariff and then I add balckberry service and internet. When i came to renewal he offered me excatly the same package at £19.58. He sent me a text message advising me of his email addres at vodaphone and I was concerned as i hadnt had any confirmation that i emailed him a week later saying that i would like to see something in writing confirming the plan and everything that is included. he replied saying he will get right back to me. I had a text message from vodaphone saying my account has not been paid i will be cut off if i dont settle the debt. i checked online and it shows my plan as now £34.02!! not what i agreed, i emailed the same guy yesterday advising him to sort it out so I can set up a direct debit but not had a reply.

Where do i stand, i have nothing in writing from vodaphone although i have emails which i sent back to him highlighting the plan we had agreed on the phone included mins and cost etc.

thanks

Unless you sign up to a new contract or cancel it, your old one will continue to roll requiring 30 days notice to cancel. I would assume that as a new arrangement has not been sorted you will have been charged £35 for this month service.

I would keep on at vodafone customer services saying that your new contract has not been applied or sent out in writing. I would get it in writing as vodafone often do these 1/2 price deals for only a limited period of time, not the whole length of the contract so you might be paying £40 for the last 3+ months.
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

yes thanks, i guess that makes more sense although its so hard to let alone get anyones name but to get something writing is a nightmare. i will probably email and just say its not worth the hassle and i will move to another company.

I made several requests to orange to get my contract in writing after leaving vodafone. Because i ordered on-line they said they don't send one, so i just made sure i had it printed off. I guess operators just don't like you to have the contract :s

yep Its really hard just to get a name and a department from anyone nowadays. OK well i'll keep pushing not sure what will happen as i haven't signed a contract i suppose the worse could be that i will have to pay the continuation of my contract £30.00 or something when i could have been getting a cheaper deal!! and could have just cancelled a month back.;)

Ask to speak to rententions, state they offered you a deal but have failed to put it in writing. Once you get through to them tell them the deal offered and you want it in writing within 7 days or they can issue you your PAC code/cancellation (depending which you want)

If u can find a good deal elsewhere have that prepared otherwise as you have seen you have to pay ~£30 if they don't get there act sorted.
