how to return my start menu to the bottom left

My menu programmes, documents, turn off etc has always been bottom left of the screen.

By fiddling around i have managed to move it up to the top right weird. So my start is at the top right. I guess i have to change it in tools or something. Can someone tell me what to do to return it to its normal place please?

Hold down the mouse button down over an empty area of it and drag down to
    the bottom of the screen.

If that doesn't do anything right-click on it and make sure Lock the toolbar

is unticked. You can make sure that's ticked to keep it where you want.

In what way did the above advice not work?

You could try unticking the autohide as well, that might make a difference.

The instructions you were given are correct.

If you can't get them to work then the only answer is to turn your monitor through 90 degrees which will at least put it at the bottom.

    The task bar

yes, close all your windows and click right in the midddle of it....
  • Are all of your icons upside down or is the task/start bar just at the top of the machine ?

Click on the start bar and drag it back to the bottom of the screen, the bar will not follow the mouse, so just click the bar drag the mouse right to the bottom and let go

    Hey Presto
