Have you posted on the ebay boards about this? I think you might get more people there to help you with this it sounds tricky. Question and Answer board is busiest but maybe the postage and payments board might be helpful. http://pages.ebay.co.uk/community/chat/index.html0

Surely, if eBay took the payment without your permission, they have commited an offence and your bank should perform a chargeback on that payment. I have had ebay take money from my account before, without my permission, and my bank refunded me the payment.0

Have been on there before, and they are nasty, there are some who just seem to be on the boards all day just picking on comments and questions and just going in like a pack of hungry hyenas, anyway, have gotta ring the fraud dept of my bank today, because of the wording on ebays email
"eBay's attempt to automatically deduct the amount due".

I have had nothing but help when i have asked for it on the boards as long as you use nice language and have never sold with dodgy terms and conditions for them to nit pick at then it will be fine. I did get a posting id for there but i kept accidently buying on it lol
Saying that they are muppets wherever you go i would ignore anything not constructive. Some people just do it for a reaction i guess but on the whole people do want to help.0 -
I know you said that your card was not set up for automatic payment but please bare with me.
There has been a lot of confusion between ebay and paypal in posts. Ebay takes seller fees by paypal, dd or credit card payment. So forgetting paypal have you check to make sure that your card was not set up for automatic payment (different from dd) through ebay. Look under the Seller Account page.
On the Seller Account page on ebay you can change or remove credit card payment options. Please check that your card is not listed.
Sorry if you have already done this and its not listed (but to me it appears to be a geniune mistake).JULES

Hi, no my card is not set up anywhere on the accounts page on ebay or set up with paypal, also I did post this on ebay, but all I got there was try live help, which I did and they are supposed to be getting back to me, so all I can do is wait and see.0
