    Hi everyone

Back on a more OS note this time.
    Pippa & M's DIL- :bdaycake:Have a good
Today we have disposed of our old Chest Freezer via Freecycle, now DH wants some shelf units to put things on in the space left:rolleyes: in the garage. Found some at Wickes. Shame not B&Q as he can get his over 60's discount card now.:T

Spicy Fruit Loaf in the BM, and will be having burger (frozen:o)chips & beans for tea, part of the use the freezer up. Frozen raspberries added to sugar free jelly to make dessert. Just going to see if I can find some cake recipes on the thread for the Panny BM, and will put a loaf on to be ready in the morning.

Ordered awning for new caravan, which came today, caravan due next month, getting quite excited about this, but getting sorted while VAT lower.

We came home to gut the lounge, which would involve re-skimming the walls, however, due to the cold decided not a bright idea, so will delay that until mid-end March. So maybe a caravan trip or two may be on the agenda:o.

:grouphug: to those feeling under par, and to those which today is particularly special :grouphug:

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Evening all

Well after my rant yesterday about my work teens I gotta praise them today! They worked damn hard and we got 2 and a half beds built (1 and half to go!). Very little complaints, no messing round etc, however 4 of the worst troublemakers didn't turn up today.

And what I'm most proud of is that we arrive at the school at 10.55 and they unloaded the van, I reminded them to be quiet when we went to area we work in (right infront of their hall) as the schoolkids would be getting ready to do 2 minutes silence. All of my teens asked if they could join in the silence with the schoolkids! I'd wanted them to observe the silence but I wasn't going to 'make' them. I was so proud :) they went into the back of the school hall and were very respectful.

It was freezing cold today and I'm having trouble warming up now I'm home :(

I had school dinners again for lunch! It was a sunday dinner. I'm veggie so just had roast potatoes, veg and stuffing, but it was yummy and filling! Plus we had jelly for desert :)

Dinner will be jacket spud with cheese and coleslaw on one half, and leftover chilli on the other.

Only OSness will be putting the BM on later tonight.

    Have a great evening all

no you dont need to adjust the ingredients but it will take longer to cook than if you did it in two tins and I would recommend a lower oven temp so that the top doesnt cook too quickly and burn

  • Good evening Chums,
blooming freezing here at the moment have just put my heating on, winter is definitely on the way. Had a nice day wit my youngest DD .She is going to a work collegues house tonight, (a bit like come dine with me ) as its her turn to cook for around six of them . We decided that she would make a big lasagne, salad and garlic bread for main course plus a cheese cake with strawberries for pudding. So we spent the afternoon cooking, and she only has to warm the lasagne through in her friends oven when she gets there. her cheesecake turned out beautifully, so nice that she is going to make a big one to take to her sister's on Chistmas Day in the evening, as we are having a big family party that night. She had her new bed delivered today as well which was lovely .They have bought on of those memory matresses and its really lovely I must say I am very tempted to treat myself to one they are very comfortable.
Well I'm just off to start dinner I have a nice piece of sirloin steak and salad for dinner tonight that I found in the freezer.
<<hugs to those who are down and sad today>> I took my poppy cross to the church this morning and placed it with the others there.
    Take care all
