I contacted buyer and asked how they woud be paying (i accept paypal and postal orders) 2 days after auction ended and she eventually emailed back saying she was having a few probs with her paypal account and she was trying to sort it out with her bank (??) she says the digits on the back of her card have worn off and the bank are taking their time sending her a new card (i assume she is trying to set up an account with paypal (?)
I sent her a reply saying i understand her predicament but that i need payment as soon as possible as i am selling these things for my boss and she wants rid and that i'll give her another few days.
She emails back saying 'can i send you a cheque?' so i replied saying 'i'm sorry. i dont accept cheques, i do however accept postal orders, please let me know what you would like to do' and i have not heard anything back.
She has been really polite in all her emails but what would you do?
It'll be 2 weeks on tuesday since the end of auction
Why do people bid if they can't pay asap or otherwise why not make an effort to pay via other accepted means??

Issue the buyer with a NPB alert. They've already had well over the 7 days that eBay allow a buyer to pay within.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Have you sent a reminder invoice ( or seven!). I usually find they do the trick!“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0

I have sent one and they just say that their bank is being a pain in the !!! and they really want it and can i hold on.
I'm finding it all a bit strange though, what is the deal with the security digits on the back, i can't remember needing this with paypal??Accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.0 -
I remember entering the 3 digits from the back of my card when I opened my PayPal account. It's just for verification purposes. It increases security as well I guess.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Take it on your chin, she's done all she can and sometimes such is life. You can't expect to be selling stuff and not encountering some sort of headacheGod made man, man made money, money made man mad0

Has she got a high feedback score? If she hasn't she's probably confused.
Her not replying to you could mean that she is away. A lot of people I'm trying to contact at the moment (not for e bay) have taken this week off and gone away. With the BH just gone and half term it makes a lot of sense.
You can also ask e bay to exchange contact details. By this I mean a phone number and full address. I did this with a seller recently.

Im having the exact same problem at the moment with a buyer. its driving me mad now.
had no contact for the first 7 days after the auction ended so i sent a reminder invoice first the excuses about problems with paypal and then asking if she can send a cheque (i also only accept paypal and postal orders) she eventually said last friday that she would send a postal order.
Sent her a message through my messages yesterday as still havent recieved payment, got a reply back today saying ' sorry i forgot my head has been up my !!!!!! this week dont know if im coming or going i will get it first thing monday and send it first class so you should have it tuesday'
Wasnt very impressed by this if it hasnt arrived by tuesday i will start NPB process. I wouldnt mind but it was only for £3.40 :rolleyes:The Only Thing Men Can Do Right Is Get Everything Wrong

I've recently opened an unpaid item dispute for a handbag "sold" on 7 May - for £11.51, which is more than I'd expect to get if I relist. I sent a reminder invoice on the 16th, then a message saying that I required immediate payment or would relist the item, and the seller apologised and told me her son had been in hospital getting his appendix out, and she would post a cheque but the post to and from her village is quite bad. I waited a few days, then asked her when she'd sent the cheque, and got no reply. I sent another message asking her if she would send another cheque since the first one (if she ever sent it) must have been lost in the post. Still no reply, so I've filed an unpaid item dispute. Grrr!0

If she couldn't pay then she shouldn't bid. Most of my buyers have been pains recently.HugoSP wrote:Has she got a high feedback score? If she hasn't she's probably confused.
Her feedback is 2, i thought she might be confused but she seems to know what she is doing, i'm trying to be helpful to her but its just a pain, i wouldn't mind so much if i was selling them for myself but it's for my boss.essexhoney wrote:Im having the exact same problem at the moment with a buyer. its driving me mad now.

They are the same sort of replies i'm getting, i would've thought we had the same buyer but i checked and she only bid on my auction :rotfl:dena007 wrote:Hi op,

Hi Dena, I can ask my boss, i do take postal orders so i don't know why she can't send them.
I still haven't heard anything from her. I'm not going to email her anymore, i've said i'll give her till the end of next week then i will have to relist.
Thanks for your replies everyone.Accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.0
