Has anyone here installed this? Any problems?

Does it include Excel does anyone know?

Is there a way back to the Windows XP Home Edition that I currently have running should I hate the very sight of it?

    Thanks.

It does include Excel, and it doesn't replace Windows - it just runs on top of it.

It's worth bearing in mind that the beta expires in February 2007 (so you can then buy the full price version!) so don't uninstall your old copy of Office to install it if you don't have the original installation disks!!!

You should be able to uninstall it afterwards through Add/Rermove Programs in Control Panel to get rid of it - but I've not tried installing it yet, nevermind removing it, so someone else might have to comment on that.

Going to install Sharepoint services once my new server is up and running.

I've had this for a while now, used it to great effect, no serious issues found, though i've seen things i thought could be better and have given feedback to M$. I think they've done a good job with the latest changes.

Also if anyone is interested, in the coming weeks M$ will make Vista Beta 2 available for customer trial, so anyone can try it out! Check out: http://www.microsoft.com/Windowsvista/

Just a word of advice..........this version of Office has been overhauled quite radically both functionally and appearance-wise.

It's very impressive but if you're an existing Office user, it takes some getting used to!

What do all the programs do? I've never heard of any of them

Word - document processing, create letters, essays, reports etc.
Excel - spreadsheet program, good for accounts for example.
    Access - database program
    Powerpoint - slideshow presentations
Publisher - create banners, adverts, flyers etc

Have you got your email address wrong? The product key comes in about 30 seconds.
