I was at university with someone called Yiannis. Or can be spelt ioannis

I second Yiannis. It's the greek form of John but so much nicer IMO.
  • I was going to suggest Lysander too!

Alexander, Cosmo, Demetrius, Hero, Julien, Leo

Any of those take your fancy?

Is Leo a greek name then?
I don't remember seeing that - I thought it mean't brave warrior in my baby book! :D

I have a colleague who is Greek and called Alexes - but he hates it and calls himself Alex

    hi,

Im having a baby boy soon, I would like a greek name, but am open to any suggestions, can anyone help with ideas
    Alexander? Alex.... Philip?

Normal, translates well, your kid will be able to spell it, their teacher can spell it, they won't waste years on the phone to asian call centres shouting letters... no extreme prejudices associated, mainstream, your kid won't cry because you can't buy the tat pencil case from woolworth's like shops with their name on...
If it's on X-factor/world's chaviest camera cops - avoid....
  • Dimitri...
Had one of those at school - nickname "dim".....
