He doesn't really believe in credit cards so he will have paid cash. I suppose that's why they haven't taken the money...lucky chappy then!
depends if he wants to go back to Spain, his details will be 'flagged' on their computer and if stopped he will be in the 'doggy do do'IMOJACAR

"to circulate around the left in a way of double felt of the circulation in sense in opposition to the established one, without realising adelantamento maneuver some. its halting was not possible."
That is a quote from Rafa Benitez, roughly translated it says "N'gog, when you get into the box don't try to square it to Torres, just go down"
Seriously, he may think now that he won't ever go back to Spain but he may have 50 years ahead of him, who knows what lies ahead. Paying up would be the best option provided it is all done properly with receipts etc0 -
I don't think he's got 50 years ahead of him.
I haven't seen him for a couple of days, but I think he's going to ignore it. He can't afford that sort of cash (it seems a bit steep too) and he doesn't think he's done anything wrong. He actually thinks he's being done for something mentioned on the Simpsons...

dont quote me on this, but might it not also apply to spanish territories such as the balearics and canaries etc..

He certainly wont have 50 years ahead of him if he keeps driving on the wrong side of the road:eek:
I know the Spanish police can interpret the laws in different ways BUT he was spotted driving on the wrong side of the road so he has 'done something wrong'
{he cant afford that sort of cash}??
he can afford to go to Spain on holidayIMOJACAR

This is an old-ish thread, but I was speaking to my friend today and he's had another letter from the Spanish police. It's offered him a discount so that he only has to pay the equivalent of £275 now.
He said he might just pay it - he doesn't know how to defend himself and he could just about afford it now. He confirmed he doesn't have a credit card, so now his problem is he wouldn't know how to pay it.
I told him to send a cheque in the post, but he's not sure. What does anyone else think? What's the safest way to pay if he goes ahead?
Thanks in advance.0 -
welcome back, get your pal to phone the spanish embassy they should be able to advise him,it may be a case of sending them the cheque and they forward it onI

Just for information:
They told him to post it to some address in Spain with a letter saying something about not understanding the procedure etc. because everything's in Spanish.
Just a hunch, but I bet they respond in Spanish!0
