Is Anyone Getting a Cheaper Car Insurance Quote This Year?

A few points:Seriously i was charged a weighted figure because of this accident which had been settled by the other parties insurer.
IS THIS INDUSTRY PRACTISE !!!!
It is not standard but many insurers will add a slight load to a premium for a non-fault claim, especially when combined with other claims/convictions.Why should i be penalised for this, tell me your experience of this issue. The FSA state that it is up to the ins company what they base their policy charges on !!
Yes, it is up to the company how they rate their policies as long as they do not breach legislation such as the Disability Discrimination Act etc. It's not a question of being 'penalised', it is a question of charging the correct rate for the risk. Unfortunately for you there is statistical evidence which confirms that someone recently involved even in a non-fault claim is a slightly higher risk than someone who has not.Well watch out because im going out to claim that back from the 3rd party insurer to cover the next 5 years. Enough of this take from the middle class fools as they can take it.
I'm not sure you will succeed in claiming anything in this regard. I've never seen it happen. We need to lobby to expose companies doing this practice of punishing accident free drivers with 3rd party accidents.
Why not lobby against all risk-based pricing at the same time, as this matter is no different to rating using your age, vehicle, postcode etc.The insurer concerned is owned by Alliance & Leicester.
I'm fairly sure that Alliance and Leciester don't own any insurers. You might want to check that.0 -

Yes but only just....and I mean only just
Last year to insure our 350Z and Vectra, both FC cost £579.42.
Renewal came in at £607.06.
After lots of shopping around we have just changed co's and paid £575.70.
To be honest I was struggling to beat the renewal this year until Admiral phoned me and got me the price for a multicar policy.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
