I mystery shop SSP most months and we do not and can not monitor you being late, we monitor queuing time, product, area & display's. I believe the incentive is to encourage good Customer Service, SSP employ staff for these shops but do not own them you should know that!!!
I feel for you not being paid, for me I have planned Christmas for a wee change so Dec wage will not be for that but i am being paid early and for me it will be for night outs xmas dinner so I can understand your frustration, not much good to you but think of what u may save! Most people do not get car parking especially in city centres and I suppose you knew the hours when you took the job, again car share/cycle public transport may be the best option as you dont want to waste your wages on parking. Hope you get it all sorted out or look for a new job!:money: giving me & my darling boys a better cheaper life:A

and you are able to do that,
Your point is?
Yes, I am able to do that, but the point of my post was that the OP was bemoaning parking charges. At least after having paid she can secure a space,I pay and yet cannot always do that despite being in situ 45 mins before I am contracted to start work.0 -
how much do you pay?
at my work i have chosen not to pay and to park on the street, turning up 15 mins before work starts - i would also have to get there mega-early to try and get a paid for space.0 -

i wasnt making a point, i just hadnt said what i was going to say, its just that if a member of staff or student from the local college parked in a nearby street they faced being towed away as the residents complained,0 -
We pay £75 per academic year. Residents nearby have complained, and a consultation period is underway as to whether it will be made resident parking. if that does happen, we will need to be there even earlier!0

An annual pass is about £1800 a year. I get a discount from the station but it is still a one off payment of over a thousand pounds I would have to pay, which I don't have. I work full time, I would love to get a 2nd job but I don't have set shifts so would not be able to fit anything around it, except possibly catologue picking up! I did not say the mystery shopper checks what time we get in, the bonus we get is dependable on that. Thank you for those who have worked for SSP, I know I'm being picky, but when you work for them, as a whole, you realise they are not nice people!0

Oh, and I get no staff discount or leftovers. Apparantely they are working on staff discount for the end of 2010...I pray I won't be there then...0
