Memory full on phone.How do i delete it?

Hiya.Nokia 6500,showing as memory full ,unable to accept text messages.It is saying there is 27 kb used in text messages but when i go into the text app there are no messages in the in box,outbox saved etc.So i have no idea where this 27kb is being stored.Can anyone advise please?

    27kb is nothing and is not what is filling your memory up. Possibly just the icon or something. If you have downloaded loads of songs apps etc that is your most likely problem. Try deleting some. Also try restarting your phone to see if that makes a difference.

    thanks.i have just deleted 7 pictures and the message has gone.
