Hi any help would be great for a newbie

Morning, I won't waffle as it sometimes confuses. :D
I would appreciate any advice please.

I have an 02 sim without the phone number and is locked with a PIN

Is there anything that I can do or buy to get around the PIN?

I need to access this sim, buying another isn't an option.

Will a card reader (any sort) be able to bypass the pin or at least tell me the number so that I could get a PUK code.

Thanks for your help

i'm no expert but the pin usually means it's intended for the person who owns it. there wouldn't be much point in having a pin number if there was an easy way to get round it.

the person who owns the number would be the only one who can get the PUK code for the sim.

I am aware of this but for personal reasons that I don't want to go into I still need to ask if there is a way :)
Thanks for your time to answer

i see, i guess you could call o2 and explain the situation if it's a personal matter or if you know the person. they are going to be the only people, in my eyes, who would be able to unlock the card for you. otherwise i'm pretty sure there is no way to unlock it without o2's intervention. maybe there is someone on here in the know.

    hope that helps.
  • Thanks Legoman.....I don't mind buying a card reader but obviously one that can bypass the PIN......any help anyone? :)

I'm not aware of anything you could buy that would by pass the pin.

O2 would give the unlock code if the pin was entered 5 time incorrectly, but only to the person the sim registered to. I don't think you're going to find any way to do this, sorry. . .
