well, i use ie sometimes and use firefox alot more now though, i have used netscape and..its ok but not as good as firefox, Flock is another good one only used it once its a little like firefox, but the best one so far is the aol browser! its in Beta testing at the moment but its great, like firefox in a way but when you hover over the open tabs it shows a little screenshot of the page. i think you can get it at http://beta.aol.comThings that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0

You can get extensions for Firefox that do that. It's included in Opera v9 (still in beta) and I think will be included in Firefox 2.0.
I currently use Opera as a basic browser. It's light, fast, very stable and has all the inbuilt features I could want. The recycle bin to recover accidentally closed tabs is especially handy.
Firefox is great too. It's slower and can be a lot more resource hungry in comparison to Opera. It does have a wealth of add-ons, extensions etc... though that are easy to find and install. Hence I use Firefox when developing.
I don't really use IE anymore. I'll wait and see what v7 is like before deciding."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

I used IE7, and i think if ms can get rid of the bugs, it outpreforms the other broswers out there!
Wasnt Operas selling point being the fastest broswer at one stage?, Do they still claim this?
Thanks Tom :-)0 -
i think they still claim its "The Fastest Browser on Earth"... but i'm not sure as i havent used it. but if its soo fast, why is it? could it possibly because of the settings you tweak on it such as no images?.. has it got these features?tomd84 wrote:Wasnt Operas selling point being the fastest broswer at one stage?, Do they still claim this?0 -
I use Firefox (and Thunderbird) mainly because most hackers/virus writers seem to target that nice Mr Gate's products. I'm not really fussed if a page loads in 1.75 seconds in Firefox OR 1.67 seconds in IE OR 1.36 seconds in Opera.0

Its load times (from cold load, and memory) are meant to be faster. It is also meant to render pages and reads scripts more quickly.
On my home and work machine I've noticed the above to be the case, although it's all fractional. It's certainly much lighter than Firefox in terms of resources though, especially if left open for long periods."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
at work I use IE, at home I use both IE and Firefox, Not Sure Why i use both at home.. just one of those "old age" things,,,LOL:beer: Keep your Chin up.. it can only get better
