I always thought it was quite normal for their hands to feel cold - their noses too - yours get that way too i'm guessing being out of the duvet all night?
His neck will tell you if he is cold.
Definitely go for long sleeved vests etc but dont worry too much about cold hands If he was cold through the night he'd let you know! Hey, Soul Sister0
