Hi ,hope all you knowledgeable OSers can help me!
I have put a wash on this morning and am horrified to discover a rogue black sock has slipped in with my light wash!
The result is my washload has turned a dingy pale lemon colour.
I was thinking of a soak in bleach for the whites but what about lights with dark colours in ie My DDs favourite red and white striped top
Help!

Don't, don't use bleach

I had a similar thing a few months ago with a red sock in with nappies & towels:rolleyes:. Afraid I never did get the colour out, even after 2 packets of colour run remover:mad: & a soak in bleach! God knows what they dye socks with these days but it has staying power:eek:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Hi ,
Thanks for all your helpful replies.
I opted for the colour run remover option bought from Asda last night!
Alas , my wash still has a dingy drab yellowish tinge to it!

I'm tempted to say buy only white socks, but as this would be a crime against fashion, I won't. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Hi,
Check your filterto make sure that`s clear too. Do you generally separate the delicates from the 50 degree wash. Usually socks dont have sufficient dye in them to ruin a wash.
Also now the weather`s better the sun may help to restore the brightness in the washing.0
