Just bought a new Ben Sherman checked shirt (Red & Blue on white), I put it if for a wash and missed some dark blue socks that were in the pile of washing. Needless to say that the white colour on my new shirt is now a very pale blue colour.
Any tips as to restore the whiteness back to the shirt please?

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure!

The chemist sells a colour reviver which might work- you cannot use bleach as that would make the other colours pale.:)"This site is addictive!"

Wilko's do a colour run remover, I think it's made by Dylon.
You could also try running it through again with a capful of Ace bleach?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Very true, I only mentioned Wilko's because I get all my cleaning stuff and things like this from them, it's hard to beat them for prices and I always stock up on their BOGOF deals.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I used Oxi-Clean when the OH washed my best patterned blouse in with a flourescent yellow highlighter he had left in his work shirt pocket. It dies the whole wash bright yellow.
Soaked the blouse in a solution of Oxi-Clean and it lifted the whole let out, without affecting the blouse's pattern at all - magic!"It was not my intention to do this in front of you. For that, I'm sorry. But you can take my word for it, your mother had it comin'."

I always use Colourcare (by glo white i think) whenever I wash something new, in fact i use them most of the time. They seem to catch colour that would normally get in to your other clothes and hold it. Don't think they would help with your problem but worth trying in the future with new clothes that might run.0
