What colour should the shirt be?

DON'T wash it or put it near heat or cold yet as that might set the stain, wait until you get a reply. :)

We've had this question before recently about dye running - but I'm blowed if I can find it yet...

..Galtizz's advice is good - don't do a hot wash nor tumble dry because that can set the stain.

As Galtizz says don't let the shirt dry or the stain will become fixed.

Do you have any borax? I've used it successfully to remove colour run stains. Wet the item, add borax directly to stains and leave for about 10 minutes then wash again in the usual way.

Found this, but not sure if it will help.......Good luck!

I go with this. My son's tie has still not turned up, wonder what he did with it?

Also, a product called colour catcher works as well as colour run remover. This is a sheet you put in the wash and it catches loose colours. It rescued a t-shirt belonging to my daughter which had red trimming. I thought it was a goner but it is now back to how it should be.

Lastly, if your son doesn't want his shirts ruined, perhaps he should wash them himself. Although I still do my family's washing (hence the missing tie) I certainly will not do hand washing for them.
