granite supplier in scotland - any recommendations?

We are looking for a granite supplier to supply and install a kitchen worktop in central scotland. I've searched the netand seen that there are quite a few but I'd rather not just pick a random one. Hence if you've had some granite installed by a independent supplier (i.e. not through a kitchen showroom - we are trying to keep costs down!) then I'd be grateful if you would post their details

I used Solid Surface Concepts, they are based in Ayr, everything went smoothly, but as with everything i would try and find more customers, i might just have been lucky

Thanks for the reply. My MIL lives down that way so I might ask her to pop in and get a rough quote based on our plans.

I was hoping there would be more replies giving me some options but cant be helped. I've filled in a couple of online forms for suppliers in Scotland to quote and am waiting to hear back at the moment.
