a. For his insulting comment about English not being my first language.

Maybe your readings not too good either. In my reply to Neilmcl I took note of what he said and agreed with his comments and said; 'Thanks for your adult reply. Yes I did register the guarantee. Even though this is a case of one hand not knowing what the other is doing. It is still in effect a scam and some people will part with money when they don't need to.'
What a load of jerks you are. I took the time to sincerely and honestly warn people of a situation where I thought there is a risk of some people spending money due to a (at best) shoddy practice from Sony. I make one small typo error in the product name and you silly !!!!! have to make a thing of it.
Maybe you should get out more. I will, this is my last post with you lot.
Goodbye and good Riddance!0 -

Goodbye and good Riddance!
This site, very regrettably, is becoming infested (I use this word deliberately) with this type of poster.
Screams of outrage about, "scam", "rip-off", "con", "company x has stolen my money", etc, etc - when it is NO such thing.
Don't have the slightest problem with "shoddy practice " though !
When this is pointed out to them, the usual recourse is a string of insults.
When he says "Goodbye and good Riddance!" I hope he means it.0 -
i think the OP (well if they ever read it) should understand the difference
sony offer an extended guarantee, the D&G letter is in regard to breakdown insurance
obviously this offers different benefits over a standard guarantee. i got the same letter for my Vaio PC but given it was near 75% of the reduced price i paid i declined the offer
given the dont know the name of the item they bought then its little surprise0 -

Back for one last time.
Yes, that’s one point of view. Another is that someone has a great idea for a really useful site intended to help people, and for a while it works well and gets a good reputation. Then self appointed, sanctimonious cyber!!!!!!s, set themselves up as custodians of the site and think they own it.
These are very sad people who clearly have no other life than sitting in front of a PC all day. Just look at the number of posts some of them have made. >5000 posts is nothing to be proud of, it just demonstrates the empty lives they live.
They need to get out more!
