How do I see a previous internet page from an earlier date?

I'm trying to find the page I viewed last Friday, I can see it in my history, but am afraid that if I click it, it will refresh to todays date. I've searched my temporary internet files but can't find what I am after, is there any other way?

Thanks

If you disconnect from the net, then open your browser and click on the page, this will stop the browser from opening the actual site from the server, and should open what you have in your history.
Never actually had to do this, so only a guess.

From that. it sounds like the browser needs to connect to the site server to download the page.
The only option now is to try to open the page with the net connected. If the server you're trying to download from holds the cached pages, then you should realistically be able to download the same page you saw last Friday.
If not, it is possible that Google has cached the page, but it would take some searching to find it,. and this would depend on the last time Google indexed the site.

The wonderful Internet Time Machine might be good for you
    or
FILE - WORK OFFLINE and then go into your History? ;)
In the United Kingdom 200,000 people are bitten by dogs every year and some people will die as a result. Of those bitten, 70% are children... So the question has to be asked....... Has the time come to ban children?

When I click on File, I do not have an option to 'work offline'- help?

I'm no expert, but if you google the page you're looking for, ie:

    https://www.nikonimaging.com/global/ products/software/pictureproject/index.htm - 26k - Cached - Similar pages

underneath the page address it says Cached, press that and that takes you to the last time Google looked at that page. It all depends when it did so and when the page was altered.

Hope this helps and doesn't sound double dutch. If I'm wrong please feel free to correct me.
