well done in*the*red!
Although lunch was lovely, I did splash out an extra £2 for a glass of wine (hic!) as a colleague was celebrating getting a new job and the hell outta here!
Emailed OH this afternoon and said I was thinking of not coming for a drink as I know I will end up spending something, he said not to worry he will buy me a couple of drinks, I think he was actually pleased I had said something!
Have a good weekend everyone!Saving for an early retirement!0 -
Quite a bad day today. My son has friend round. His parents are really good cooks and I am useless so bought Chinese meal for 2 for them, OH and I having the tinned tuna in the cupboard, also bought, rolls, ham, Coke, orange juice, curry for tomorrow, cleaner for cleaning boat, bucket and scrubbing brush for same purpose, Asda's dishwasher tablets as I just noticed this morning that I only had one left. the bill came to £28. Not a good day all in all but no spend tomorrow or Sunday and back to work next week so never spend anything when Im at work. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Husband spent £1 on ice cream from Macdonalds.
And then went on to spend £4.13 in sainsburys for a few bits and pieces for tea and included some milk. But that came from the household account.
Unlike the couple in front us that spent £103 on groceries I went _pale_ and then  and thought thank goodness that it was not my bill :rotfl:

OK So..........
£3.86 on stamps
£3.99 on beading book (thinking of taking it back tomorrow) :S
£3.00 on card for Fathers Day and gift for Nan.
HOWEVER!!
I found 100euro on the floor at work, and we gave it a while to see if anyone came in about it. I kinda presumed that we'd put it into a pot for a work night out, but my manager sent me to post office to get it changed (no commission), and it came out £64.68, and manager took the £14.68 and let me keep the £50!
So for the first time ever, I'm up on the day!!! Now what to do with it!!!!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I so nearly had a no spend day (and it would have been the only one of the week = sooo not possible tomorrow) however I had to get the bus home so £1.40

Go home and use the money you would have spent on one drink- £12- to pay for day out/night out for you and other half (or better still save it or use it to reduce debt). whilst London is undoubtly expensive there is still alot of things you can do quite cheaply or even for nothing- natural history museum, picnic in the nice parks etc. is weather in London supposed to be nice tommorrow? if so take full advantage of it. £12 for a drink even by London standards is absolutely ridiculous. However, tonight the OH and his friends are going to a bar near my office for a few drinks and has invited me. The trouble is it is v v expensive (£12 per drink- ridiculous I know). I had planned to stay in tonight to save money. Do I go and have one drink bought by OH and run the risk of staying for another? Or do I just go straight home to the safety of my own flat?0 -
nothing today :j tommorow, i am finally going to finish my room so that will cost some money for fabric dye and paint brushes and sunday i am going to the wildfoul and wetland trust so that will be about £7 (ish)0

£14 in Asda for two vest tops for me aswell as a pack of two t-shirts for DD and a pair of cropped trousers (these are going back as they are too big for my dinky dot). I also spent £9 in M&S on a shrug for DD. I am taking an outfit back to Debenhams tomorrow which she has outgrown before we had warm enough weather for her to wear it so that will be £21 which covers todays spends. She is constantly filthy so I decided it was better to buy a couple of cheapy bits from Asda.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0
