Phoning O2 and O2 'Retentions'???

Ok, got a text telling me to phone and upgrade 3 weeks ago, a bit early for my upgrade, and was offered a deal which i accepted but was then told to phone back on June 5th for my upgrade as they couldnt process it that early.
Since then though, have decided its a wee bit pricey for my liking (W810i + 500/500 Calls and texts per month on 12 month deal @£35 per month) and have seen people on here getting the same deal for a lot cheaper!
Im gonna phone back on Monday, is there a difference in phoning the 'Retentions' number posted on here and just phoning the O2 customer services dept like i did?
Also, am i too late to cancel? surely not if they said they couldnt complete the upgrade til 5th June?

No, you aren't to late to cancel. Just give retentions a call and say you've found a better deal and you'd like to cancel. They should match it or offer you better, if not, tell them you'll think abut it and call back, then try it again a few days later.
That is steep though, I got 500 mins and 600 texts for £25 and a free 6280 on a 12 month contract.Sigless0 -
ps this is the freephone retentions number 0800 0288151Sigless0
