Three counties clamping services

Hi all,
Last night (Sat 07/Nov/09) @20:15 I parked my car at Brook Street car park in Peterborough.
I bought a ticket for 4 hrs parking time. Paid £3.40. I displayed the ticket on dashboard and thought everything was done by the book.
When I got back to my car, I found it clamped.
There was a notice telling me I was parked on private property and had to pay £125.
I felt sick as I was struggling as it was.
2 ladies and a dog collected the cash and released my car. I paid the cash because I knew they wouldn't release my car unless I did so.
The fine was from "THREE COUNTIES CLAMPING SERVICES"
PO Box 554
Peterborough PE27WN
Phone number:07933636748
Licence No: 0230012198493594 G LAVELLE
0230012232108695 N TUSTIN
Please could someone advice me how to get my money back.
When I thought things wouldn't get any worse, I get this.
Thanks in advance.

To have any hope of recovery get photo's of any signs and any lines demarking the car park. You say you paid for a ticket, was the carpark split into 2 sections? As much info as possible is needed including just who owns the park.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Hi Walim
I had exactly the same problem on sat 14th nov at 14.00 did you manage to find out anything ?????
thanks x0 -
Officially it is a Peterborough council run site with pay and display for 140 spaces. Are you sure you were actually in the carpark and not land nearby? Did the clampers provide a receipt with the SIA number of the clamper? .0

hi thanks for reply , its not owned by the council it is owned by ncp which is national carpark,0

The post is too brief to be of help, please give all the information you have, NCP are not renowned for clamping.peanut1306 wrote: »hi thanks for reply , its not owned by the council it is owned by ncp which is national carpark,I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
i dont really know anymore i have rang the clampers but they wont tell me who they are employed by !! but half the carpark is ncp and half is private somebody said it is owned by the home office, but they r not sure !!!!!0

Those SIA licence numbers are valid - they are Gemma Lavelle and Neville Tustin. However, as you state they were both women, one of them was using someone else's SIA license. Under Section 4(4) of the Private Security Industry Act 2001, it is a criminal offence to undertake the licensable activities of a vehicle immobiliser without an SIA licence."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Photo's of where parked and any demarcation lines would help. Land registry will tell you who owns the property(small fee)
Small claims court beckons, illegal use of sia registration and confusing signage/demarcation(if applicable) would make it relatively easy.
edit:- look at http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=43272&st=0 it has similarities to you.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Pity that the OP has not come back to us, Oh Well.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
