One of the questionnaires is a Sensory checklist. I am so pleased they have included this, I have said for years that he has sensory problems (eg seemingly can't hear/won't listen/but light sleeper and freaks out to mixer/hand-driers/blender etc) but never knew how to raise it or who to talk to without sounding like a complete fussy parent.

Sounds just like my friend's DS. He has always been demanding and similarly freaks out with aeroplane noise, fireworks, etc. He is now in Year 2 and last year they decided that he had like a sensory overload problem with lots of noise, too much visual stimulus like lots of colourful things on the wall being very distracting for him and just 'too much'. He also struggles to get things down on paper. It doesn't seem to be his actual intelligence, just finding it hard to communicate it in writing. They haven't given it a name as such but they find he's better when he has a bit of space to himself with not too much going on noise wise or visually, and short sharp bursts of school work, rather than 10 or 15 minutes even. Also they recommended that at home deep warm baths would calm him better than a shallow bath which would make him hyper and they said a lot of children like bouncing on a trampoline to calm them down (although this doesn't work with him!).

Anyway, back to flying. Did the bathroom yesterday so I'll cross off what's been done.

comleted all 3 levels for today so...can I have a star please!

very excited :j my first star in ages...maybe ever?

tried to do a really good job of wiping down the bathroom door. I've been waiting since April for DH to paint the door - so decided there's no reason why I can't do it myself this weekend.

    Afternoon all,

I'm trying to use up the left over party food and empty the freezer a bit, so for lunch we had fish finger rolls, salad, coleslaw and potato salad. It was very nice as well.

Decorate passage 1 coat on bottom, 3 coats on top, ceiling & coving done
Put Rubbish & Recycling in 1 in
