    Morning all,

Come into work for a couple of hours to sort some stuff off - and on one of my days off - so I feel I can catch up on yesterday.

Monday~ Kitchen of Grot and Dining Room of Gloom
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Declutter and [/STRIKE]mop/[STRIKE]vacuum the floors
    [/STRIKE] -
didn't mop the kitchen floor - but will do it later - jolly glad I left it till today as one of the dogs had an accident overnight on the tiles
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe the worksurfaces
    [/STRIKE]

    Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe the big appliances and units[/STRIKE].. don't forget kickboards!
[STRIKE]Wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge!
    [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clear a sticky dishevelled cupboard
    [/STRIKE]
    - not technically a cupboard but all the stuff stuffed down the side of a bookcase between it and the wall
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Wipe the table and replace the cloth if necessary.[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Binbag dance!
    [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean the oven and hob[/STRIKE].. :D

    Extras
    1. [STRIKE]Clean[/STRIKE] blinds/curtains and [STRIKE]light fitting[/STRIKE]s
    2. [STRIKE]Wash the windows [/STRIKE] - threw ds2 up onto the kitchen worksurface and supervised his efforts - it's better to be only 5 stone when you're hovering on the edge of the sink
    3. HHI
    4. Take a freezer/fridge inventory and see if you can start using it up and making space for christmas goodies!!
So I'll have Monday done when I wash the floor. Will alert you later Toots.

Will leave work about 11am and have to go and buy music books for the kids. Need to sort out the finances today, fill dh's car with diesel and then go and tackle today's list. Landing days are the days I hate living in a 3 storey house - too many stairs!!! But at least the sitting room will be ok - we have one big room and the dining room end is looking good unlike the other end - hopefully they'll match by the end of today.

I'll be up for challenges later - see you then

Edited to say: Mrs Chaos - will keep your friend and MIL in my prayers

Spurred on by knowing that people would need to carry a dishwasher into my kitchen and have space to fit it, besides taking out the yukky old one which hasn't worked for weeks (pong!) and needing to access pipes under the sink, I gave my kitchen another goog going over. Still not complete but if I do that much each week I'll get there soon.

Wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge! (replaced filters in water jug)
    [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clear a sticky dishevelled cupboard[/STRIKE] and found enough cleaning materials to last for ages!
    Level Three
Wipe the table and replace the cloth if necessary.
    Binbag dance!
Clean the oven and [STRIKE]hob..[/STRIKE] :D

    Extras

    Other bits ... cleaned cobwebs off the top of the high cupboards;
    cleaned grotty old dishwasher, being removed today;
polished the mixer tap with 'Astonish' paste found at the back of the under-sink cupboard - it's the first time it has shone for years!:j
polished the piano and TV unit with beeswax polish found at the back of the cupboard - shiny and clean.

I shall be able to get today's done properly once the dishwasher guys have been and gone. (I can't see how they'll get the old one out without dripping all over the lounge carpet as they carry it through.)

Thanks TAG and toots for oven shelves advice. They have been in the bath overnight. Most is coming of really easily. I am going to get DH to take me to out brand new hardware shop in town to get a glass scraper and then he can do the wood burner glass and a wire scourer for me to start a bit more gently on the oven door.

Still awake nearly all night but stayed in bed this time in the hope that I at least rest my bod.

Still feeling full of energy. It is really wierd as I haven't felt like this in five years.
