Until it is cooked.... it depends on the size of the hunks of meat and veg... I decide it is done when the bits of carrot and spud are done... usually that means there is very little left in the pan lol

Sorry if it was a confusing question :rotfl: I was panicking because one of the beef casserole recipes in my book has a timing that is ridiculous and I was worrying that I had got this wrong too. It is cooking well and will get plenty of time to cook as OH is only just leaving the hospital. I will update on his dad in a sec, I am in despair with what he has just said and need a moment

I am reading it at the moment. If she wants advice why is she defending him so much? I will finish reading before I make up my mind too much.

Because in her mind she has a relationship with him - altho of course according to him it doesn't exist;)

Anyhow, worked my a*se off from 5 until 8 to get all this done, DH done the oven shelves for me while I was sorting out shoes!! I feel very very smelly tonight but totally liberated and the queen could come to my door and I wouldn't be embarrassed :rotfl:

rosepink I cant believe you let DH send his ironing to his mum to do and sneak your own in - what an admission!!!!!
rosepink I shouldnt have posted that - it was judgemental of me and thats not what we are about here - i said once before i wouldnt interfere in your routines and I should stick to that - I was just so gobsmacked that a capable young woman would do that. I suppose its just that i wouldnt do that because my pride wouldnt let me but I have to remember that we all have different outlooks and priorities in life. I am sorry if I offended you.
I'm not offended at all, if you met my MIL you would understand. She is forever asking what she can do to help, on Sunday for example she cornered me and kept on asking if I need help with anything, she offered to come round here and do sorting out and cleaning, which I politely turned down as I'm doing well on my own, but in the end had to agree to let her do the ironing. We don't impose on her at all, we only send some round every few months to keep her happy! It's the same with food, whenever we go round to see her she tries to send us away with loads of food, and it's hard to refuse as it upsets her. We have to try to strick a balance between accepting something so she feels happy, and not taking too much. She is a really lovely woman, we love her very much but we really don't want to take advantage of her generous nature. As I hate ironing, and she loves it, it seems to work out quite well.

Jinky, I really hope that girl does listen to the advice given and doesn't meet up wiht him, it sounds so dodgy!

I've done laundry, tidying and walking, got 1500 to go before I get today's goal. Have also written a card to my Uncle who is still struggling to recover from his fall last year, his brain injury is slowly healing but he's struggling with depression, anxiety, fatigue and confusion so it's a rough time for him.

Well after catching up with the thread and have looked at THE thread.

I looked at her history and she mentions she was at junior school 15 years ago so would have to be at least 20. It is scary how people can be so disillusioned.

Well need to see if watch Fast Forward then bed me thinks as I am shattered.
