Low memory warning

I have an Acer aspire with a 2 gh intel celeron processor running windows vista home basic. A low memory warning suddenly appeared. After doing a quick clean-up then clicking on properties of my C drive the pie chart shows 31.3 GB used 1.16 GB free. I cannot understand how I can have used 31.3 GB I cannot find any large memory files (with the exception of I-Tunes at 1.5 Gb) when I try to look in Vista explorer. To confuse myself even more I ran Belarc advisor which tells me that there is 69.55 Gb usable hard drive capacity of which there is 35.5 gigabytes free space. Can someone explain this to me and possibly suggest how I can find how this memory is being used?

WINDIRSTAT will show you whats being used and where
    http://download.cnet.com/WinDirStat/3000-2248_4-10614593.html

But from what you say its possible you have a virus

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Post the log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

    reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

Nothing dodgy though. Id guess Jacks right. Is the drive split into 2 partitions?

ADAWARE is next to useless by the way. Id uninstall it personally

peat - open My Computer (or just Computer on Vista) and list on here what the contents of the Computer folder are, with sizes, drive letters, etc. We should be able to help then :)
