If its not fixed to the wall its unlikely to stay there very long.

    Cheers

  • I almost bought one of their "garden rooms", but they get poor reviews from the people who buy them from Argos.

    Reviews clicky.

I have one of their greenhouses and I love it. It was brilliant for the price I paid. However, it wasn't easy to put up at all - an unbelievable number of parts for a small greenhouse - lots of them nearly identical so hard to tell apart, but just different enough for it to really matter if you got them mixed up. Instructions were very unclear and referred to parts that didn't even exist in places. Getting a small greenhouse put together took 3 of us most of the day.

But once the building was done, the greenhouse is great. I would buy from them again because you get so much for a small price, but I'd be prepared for a slog to construct.

Slightly unfortunate typo in the subject "nofolk" ...i'm after a "nojehovah" as i think our road is their training ground the number of times they call!

What door is this for though as IMO for a front door it would look awful!

Not so bad for a back door i guess though it's still blatantly a "green-house" tacked onto the house and i think your money would be better spent on something better.

What are your DIY skills like? If you've got the skills to build a base for the above monstrosity you could go a bit further and build a more substantial porch yourself at likely lower (if not similar) cost.

Anyway this thread just made me realise we could really use a porch on our back door as we lose heat everynight opening the backdoor from our lounge to let the dog in/out. Think i may build one myself one day!

I can easily build a solid base for it - not sure about building a porch from scratch that is beyond by diy skills definately where as kit is fine with help - are there any other companies offering similar kits?

Might be worth getting a quote or two in from local glazing companies. Sure it would look better and it would be custom built too...i'd ask them for a price for supply only and supply and fit.
