……..4 months on i noticed a nocking noise on the vehicle on what i thought was the front n/s!!
After getting this in the gge it would turn out that the front shazzy leg was bend and pushing on the o/s front suspension. ……..
I’m sure there are some causes that would delay you noticing but I think you’re going to struggle proving one.
If I was the dealer I’d suggest that it got bent by you and point to the new MOT to support this point of view.0 -
Show us the engineers report.
Have you had a quote to fix the car?
How much was the car?
I think you're wasting your time, but unless you have got some real evidence......0 -
The cost to fix the car is more then the car is worth and i bought it for £1,400
The engineer report was done by VOSA them selfs so would stand up in court and i know i have a case.
Why should i let him get away with it what if he does it again hes targetting young women with spraying the cars pink what if they was to have an accident. So your saying i should drop all this and not bother??:kisses2:to find a rainbow you must go through the rainto find true love you must go through the pain0 -
Not at all, I’m saying that proving the damage didn’t happen in the first four months you owned it is going to be your problem, compounded by the MOT that was issued just before you bought it.
To save us guessing maybe you could post the engineers report0 -
Ok cant do that till i get home as at work at the moment.:kisses2:to find a rainbow you must go through the rainto find true love you must go through the pain0

An MOT station which falsely, or in error - passes an MOT for a car, is liable for the full costs of repair to the vehicle to bring it up to MOT standards. But you must be able to prove that this was the case when they issued the MOT.
This is most easily done when it is severe rust. You take the car to VOSA who will confirm that it would be impossible for such an amount of rust to have built up on the car since the MOT was done.
Good luck, to you trying to show this, when it is accident damage and not rust.0 -

Don't suppose you have a link to the legislation that creates this liability as it looks like an urban myth to me0
