Help undrivable car need help
HI all please help
I bought a Pink Ford Ka on the 26th Feb 2009 after an accident in my previous car. This car came from a guy that put it on ebay but had his own gge so had a trader account etc.
4 months on i noticed a nocking noise on the vehicle on what i thought was the front n/s!!
After getting this in the gge it would turn out that the front shazzy leg was bend and pushing on the o/s front suspension. turned out it was a previous Total loss and had't been repaired!! Although i had bought it with a new MOT and had done a vehicle check on the car and nothing showed
So id been sold a doggy car!!!
I notifield the trader and he wasnt interested at all!! (Suprise Suprise)
I got on to Trading standards and VOSA regarding this and Trading standards said i had to write to him explaining what i want and sent it recorded deliveray well i wrote to him 3 times stating this and leaving 7 workingd ays to respond and NOTHING!!!
So i got back on to trading standars and they advised i have to prove that the damage is old so went ahead and got and engineers report complied with all this information which clearly proves this. And states previous Total loss no repaired
contacted trading standards and they have tried to contact him by phone and no response and have wrote to him twice so response!!
I feel im hitting a brick wall and dont want to let him get away with this he could still be selling doggy cars what else can i do any help much appreciated

I think you've done pretty much all you can.
Are the police not interested at all? It sounds like a criminal offence has been committed so I would have tried them.
One more thing, can you change 'Doggy' to 'Dodgy', very hard to read it keeping a straight face.0 -
How exactly does the engineers report though prove you didnt cause the write off after buying it?
Its obviously not been an insurance job as it isnt registered hence I dont see how your engineer could say that it was caused prior to you buying the car.
Saying that as its a trader SOGA states that within the first 6 months it is for him to prove it wasnt faulty at sale. Sadly I think an MOT does that hence maybe your first source is to contact VOSA and appeal against the issuing of the MOT. If it is as bad aas you claim it should never have got an MOT.
Once the MOT is voided you should have enough to reject the car and claim under SOGA for a refund.0 -
The MOT was done by HIS gge!!! and has been provied to be doggy!!!:kisses2:to find a rainbow you must go through the rainto find true love you must go through the pain0

OP, you haven’t given enough comprehensible details of the fault & evidence but no matter what they are I’m pretty sure you might have had a case if you had done something 6 months ago but now I think you are wasting your time0 -

It doesn't, unless the report was obtained at the time of purchasing the vehicle...in which case the OP wouldn't have bought it in the first place.
